As part of the application process, the staff of Media Challenge wants to see evidence of your creative side. This can include any of the following items:
- Samples of creative writing skills, as in short stories, poetry, dramatic scripts, or other original works
- Video programs, whether compiled in the camera, edited, or other video presentations that represent the primary creative work of the applicant
- PowerPoint presentations that were designed and created by the applicant; such presentations should reflect a clear thematic design and a creative integration of technical elements into an aesthetically appealing program.
- Musical compositions, recordings, or other audio presentations that were performed, recorded, and/or produced by the applicant
- Dramatic acting presentations from a theatrical performance that were recorded on videotape (This can include a monologue or other presentation recorded with or without an audience specifically for this application.)
- A CD that contains a Web site that was designed and coded (in HTML) by the applicant (The Web site should be viewable in MS Internet Explorer and include all files and images necessary to browse the Web site offline.)
- Photographic images, paintings or drawings, images showing sculptures, pottery, weavings, or other handmade objects created by the applicant which shows a concentration in one of these artistic disciplines
All creative samples need to be labeled clearly with the applicant’s name and description of the creative work. Also, clearly state the role played by the applicant in creating the submitted work. If there are any questions regarding creative submissions, write to info@mediachallenge.org, and the staff will provide answers as quickly as possible.
