The workshop program concentrates on developing both technical and creative skills used in video production. This includes technical training on the operation of a video camera, audio recording, lighting for video, graphic design, an introduction to special effects and computer-based video editing. The creative training concentrates on theme development, effective storytelling, and artistic approaches for the video medium. Course Content

Each teaching module includes practical exercises to help students get their hands on the equipment and explore these tools of communication. All of the training is designed to give students the skills to tackle the main challenge project for the week.

Working in small production teams of four to six people, each group will be given a general theme on which the programs should be based, and then encouraged to let their creative, youthful perspective guide the final content of their productions.

At the end of the week, each participant will have a completed video program to share with their peers and the pride in having learned one more way to speak out boldly about their faith.

These projects will become a part of a global outreach effort for youth, with the best projects distributed by Internet and DVD.
