Place: The Media Challenge video production workshop program will be held on the campus of Boise Bible College, 8695 W. Marigold St. Boise ID 83714. (See www.boisebible.edu for directions to the campus.)
Dorms will be opened Sunday afternoon thru Saturday morning for both male and female attendees. Appropriate chaperones from the College will be on hand during the entire week.
Time: The workshop program will begin at 8:00 am each morning and go into the evening hours as well, giving students time for hands-on production work on their team projects. Two worship sessions, morning and evening, are also on the schedule each day.
Closing Program: At the close of the workshop program, all of the final video projects produced during the week will be shown in a Premiere Presentation scheduled for Saturday morning at 11 am on the campus. Parents, family and friends are invited to attend and enjoy the show!
Participants: The workshop program is open to all students in high school (graduating Seniors are accepted) with preference given to those who have prior creative and/or technical experience in media, music, photography, art, theatre or other forms of communication. Read more on this website for information about ways to show us your talents.
Materials: All workshop materials and equipment will be provided as part of the registration fee and also includes dorm housing and supper on Sunday, three meals each weekday and breakfast on Saturday. Each participant will also receive a Media Challenge t-shirt.
Cost: The cost for the week of workshops is $ 325, with a $ 50 deposit due with application. Also, we offer a $25 discount if the balance is paid in full by June 1st. Once applicants have been accepted into the program, further information on deposits and payments will be forwarded and final payment will be due in advance of the workshop program.
Application Process: The application form can be found online and needs to be completed and sent to the Media Challenge office. All applicants are encouraged to submit samples of their creative work, although it is not a requirement for applying. The application deadline for early enrollment is June 1st. After that date, applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis until all workshop spaces are filled. Overall, the final screening process will consider the date applications and/or nominations are received, as well as an evaluation of the quality of sample materials provided.
